It was here that he met my mom, a wise, sweet and beautiful woman, who also had Lebanese heritage.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design with honors, graduating Summa Cum Laude from the prestigious Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.

Upon relocating to the USA, I embarked on a creative path at Cleo Wrap, where many of my designs found their way onto greeting cards, gift wraps, and gift bags, gracing convenience stores across the nation.

As life unfolded, I embraced the role of a devoted stay-at-home mom upon welcoming my first child, my beloved daughter, Amelia. This new chapter would lead me down into the realm of freelance artistry. I worked on a variety of art projects, continued freelancing for Cleo, and teaching art. In addition, I illustrated “The Piñata Story”, an interactive bilingual book written by Lisa and Michel Zajur that transports its readers on a cultural journey.

Yet, it became evident that God had a different plan in mind for me, one that would put my bilingual abilities to use in serving those in need, which meant my passion for art had to take a back seat for a while.

Nevertheless, my desire to reignite my passion for art persisted, even though it proved challenging due to my frequent role as an interpreter. Eventually, it appeared that God had ordained the time for me to rekindle my connection with the world of art. Then, on an ordinary day, my son Richard handed me a sketchpad and a pencil, encouraging me with the words, ‘Mom, draw! Create something that brings you joy!’ At that very moment, my first drawing came to life—a portrayal of ‘The Theotokos,’ the Virgin Mary and Jesus—marking the inception of my journey into the world of crafting religious images and icons.

While I still work as an interpreter, which I thoroughly enjoy, God has certainly reopened the door to art and creativity.

And I am truly happy about it. I hope to continue finding the time and opportunities to keep drawing, aiming to bring joy and a smile to both God and my followers.

My heart overflows with gratitude for God’s boundless love, the unwavering support and affection of my incredible children Amelia and Richard, the warmth of my cherished family, the friendship of dear companions, and the extraordinary tapestry that weaves the story of my life.

In my free time, spending time with my children, reading, I enjoy bicycling, swimming, traveling, outdoor activities, and spending time with my family and friends.

Faith has been an integral part of my life for as long as I can remember. The unwavering love and mercy of God have accompanied me through both blissful and challenging moments.

“These are the wellsprings of my inspiration.”

SPANISH

Hola,
